The only career I have known is photography, and I find it easy to carry my camera around when others have put theirs down. My argument to carry validates itself in the little surprises of light when I am otherwise minding my own business. On an otherwise stormy night the last bursts of sun shone on the clouds as the lights came on at Nippert Stadium, in the University of Cincinnati, during a FC Cincinnati soccer game. Sure, you can shoot it on your phone, but quickly loses the purpose for which you captured it.
Returning from downtown Cincinnati, after being rained out at another shoot, I was rewarded with a different sort of beauty in the form of a perfect rainbow. A little bit of amazing (somewhat speedy) driving, and I found the right exit ramp and headed over to St. Clemente Church in St. Bernard, which I knew was just off the highway waiting for its moment.
