Aerial Films of Earthmoving and Excavating

I'm happy to share that my drone videos are helping a local business on their website! I spent a few hours on a construction site with them as they worked, using my drone to follow them around and capture video of them at work in their giant earth-moving trucks and backhoes.

I became entranced after the first serendipitous capture I made of the worker polishing his windshield so nonchalantly while his truck was being loaded with dirt. After that I used the viewpoints and mobility of the drone to get a feel for being a worker at such a site, which is what the web company wanted to show.

It was not easy to fly behind these trucks! I was constantly on the sticks, transitioning to flying sideways then to the front then turning to flying backwards, while keeping the drone camera steady and on track. This was not for the faint-of-heart pilot! The resulting cinematic videos I have are mesmerizing to watch.
